Spent a couple priceless days with my 2 oldest kids trying to catch their first ever pike. Overall action wasn't a 5 star, but after a dad gets to spend a day on the water with the daughter, followed by a day on the water with a son...if that isn't worth 5 stars, nothing would be!

Hit a few of the chain lakes. After a slow day the first day with my daughter, she hooked into a very big pike, but ended up losing it just before she got her boatside. The next day I took my oldest boy (8 yr old trooper got up at 4 am to go with me!) and this little 21"er hammered his spinnerbait right at the boat. I ended up catching a few, but the highlight was definitely seeing my daughter hook into the big one and see my son get his first pike in the boat. A big thanks to AJs Dad for having taken me out previously to not only help me catch some pike....which was a blast in and of itself, but also to show me a few spots I can pike fish since I only have dad's 14' aluminum boat with 5 little horses pushing it. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
