Less weight is *always* better on this lake.
Fish where the wind is blowing. If there's zero wind, you're better off chasing trout or panfish.

7/30/2012 7:33:00 PMForgot to mention: Make multiple casts to spots that look "fishy". When your lure hits the water, it should make enough noise to attract, but not enough to frighten. (fine line)
This is where having less weight pays off. I've thrown weightless grubs onto lily pads and seen little bass try to bump them off into the water!

7/31/2012 4:32:00 AMThanks HbG. It was very calm all day. Wind picked up a little bit at one point and that's when I was getting small strikes on the spinner. I used those colors in plastics but didn't try weightless.

7/31/2012 9:42:00 AMcassidy is all looks. that place sucks for bass. Theres a lot better lakes for bass around the area. I gave up on cassidy long ago.

8/13/2012 12:15:00 AMI use top water rapalas there in perch color and have some good luck but nothing huge 16" largest I have gotten and white spinner bait 1/8 oz and green mepps spinner size 3 had netted me a few bass there too. Perch color on rapala will get you some crappie as well and have landed trout on it too.
