After my last crayfish outing, which resulted in a ½ lb, I decided to trap the same area but change my bait and slightly change the positioning. The bait I decided to use was Cod heads and Salmon trim. I dropped the trap in overnight and when I pulled it out I found I had more this time round. I scaled it at 2 lbs, All Signal Crayfish, this is better but I still want to up the amount. I have located another area that looks very promising and have purchased a second trap.

On a side note, when I went to Outdoor Emporium I noticed that a lot of the Crayfish traps had very small openings, in fact if you were to see the size Crayfish that I am pulling out there is no way they would fit through this opening. Look at my pictures, that claw alone measure 5” and was over a 1 ½” wide at the pincher. I opted for the mesh Kufa trap, which was the only one with wider openings.
