Actually, we were targeting small mouth. Caught a couple of perch that we let go and 8 or 10 small smallmouth. Was moving to a place that I really like and was going slow watching my sonar. It showed me something that I ought to try to catch so we settled in for an hour two catching perch after perch. No idea how many we caught but came home with plenty for a few meals.

I am not really set up for perch but last week the wife and I caught a bunch of them drop-shotting Sniper Snubs so that is what we used, again, only this time I was with my step-daughter. Did not take long to figure out that we had to cut the snubs in half to actually be able to land most of the fish. After that, it was like fishing in a barrel. I used my Terrova "Anchor" to hold me in place over the cloud and my step daughter got bored of catching fish so she kicked back and soaked in some sun while I kept fishing.

While filleting the fish out, one of them had 8 chunks of a Sniper Snub in his gut, and, two pieces of a green plastic, maybe parts of a Roboworm or something? I could not believe it. There were big pieces, little pieces, pieces the size of which we were not even using, lol. I think there was more pieces in there than we even lost all day, and yet this one fish had all of them. Did not see any in any of the other fish.
