First off I would like to say hello to the community here at Washington lakes. My buddy and I headed to pine lake for some fishing and swimming , it was the hottest day of the year ! It started off slow , we were casting into the shallows near docks around the lake were we have had luck in the past . Nothing. Moved out to deeper water using a deep diving rapala , first cast fish on , landed a nice size small mouth. Did not have a scale but he was chunky. The fishing slowed down for a few hours , we started going after perch and caught a handful of those little guys . As we were heading in around 8:00 pm I cast out near a swim platform , BAM big hit , fish on . After a good fight I landed a bigger small mouth . All in all a great day .
