Had the urge to get out fishing around 11ish before football and these are the results. Fished for bout an hour or so, around Newport marina. Tried throwing a frog, with no luck, so I hit the main docks with a flipping jig to see what would happen. There was a sudden break in the clouds while I was bouncing my bass patrol PB&J flipping jig with a sniper craw as a trailer along the bottom, all of a sudden, I see a nice 2.5-3 pound LM dart out and hit it hard, I set the hook, and quickly got him up to the surface, and landed him. I was all alone, no pics of me holding him:( Still has made what's a great day so far. Nice LM caught on a fairly new technique to me, Felix pitches for the Mariners today, I'm off to football practice now, and will get back out fishing later. What a life
