Fished around Newport marina tonight with a bass patrol flipping jig with a sniper craw as a trailer. I was flipping on the backside of a boat, when all of a sudden, I see my line jump and set the hook! Wound up being a nice 2 pounder. I'm very thankful for the shimano cronarch 200e7! You can flip very far and that 7-1 gear ratio helps with pulling those bass out quickly Looks like the flipping bite is starting to get on (see my previous report for LM on LW) I'm brand new to the flipping jig and needless to say I think I'm more hooked than the LM are. Can't wait till I find the big bass. I also caught 2 dink SM. Still fun to get those hits on the fall tough!
