Alright. The girlfriend, a couple of friends and I took a camping trip down to the state park for a couple of days. Brought my fishing rod "just in case" and took it out as soon as we got to the water :). I didn't feel as though I would have a tremendous amount of luck on power bait/eggs so I just threw different types of hardware. I probably fished for about 3 hours total this trip and landed three fish. The first fish came after about an hour. I switched from a small gibbs spoon to a kastmaster and landed a super feisty wild rainbow trout! It was only 14" but it put up a fun little fight. The second fish came on the same kastmaster and was a 16" Northern Pikeminnow (actually pretty fun to bring in). The third fish was about a one pound smallie, also caught on the same kastmaster!
All in all I had a lot of fun tossing hardware between conversations with friends while enjoying beautiful weather at an amazing state park. Tight lines.
