Decided to try these two little hike to lakes again. Its been a year since slipped my boat by the gate and walked into the park. The water level was down an amazing 5-6 feet. That's not right.
Got to the water about 6:00pm. Fished the entire lake perimeter, nothing but a couple of small fish nibbles. Started working the middle part of the nearest lake. Felt a little nibble, thought it was another fingerling, played it a little, then set the hook, Bam, my rod bent over almost in half. After a great fight I boated a real nice largemouth about 4+ pounds. That was fun. I fished the middle for another 45 minutes before heading home and decided to rest on my fine luck of boating the nice fish and not getting skunked. I rated the trip a 3 for the one nice fish. Otherwise it would have been a 1 rating.
