Well... having bought a new, and bit unusual piece of metal to troll around lake goodwin the day before other than pop gear. it worked so well that we decided to go back to the lake that has always been the toughest for my buddy and I. sure... we each had caught one triploid a piece in the last 3 years. neighbor was ready for what was about to happen this day. we trolled all the way down to the far end of the lake and my buddy hooked into a 17 inch brown trout. I had no clue they were even in there. so we turned around headed back towards the launch I was in the middle of a slow turn around with our lines still out and all the sudden my pole bent over like I have never had it bent before. I thought surely it was a snag so I put the motor in reverse, (I did not want to loose my one and only lure). then all the sudden the slack in my line was taken up and the fight was on!!!!got him in the boat.....20 inch triploid.
we went on to catch our limits with 3 browns 6 tiploids all over 16 inches.
I guess martha felt sorry for us. or maybe we found he right combo.
