9/17/2012 7:47:00 PMIs the lake clean? Well, it's an urban lake, like Green lake, Lake Union, Haller lake, etc.etc. No, probably not clean by some standards...
I do not trout fish, I bass fish, and don't keep/eat the fish just because I like the chance of catching them again next year.
The trout in Bitter lake are not holdovers, they are dropped in... swim around a few weeks or month,, and you catch them to take home.
I would prob. eat one if it was surved to me, but then again, I just don't care about eating planter trout in general.
I don't expect you will die or anything.....
Take Greenlake.... people eat trout out of there everyday. People I consider intelligent friends... Then this week, another guy I know from another website, put out a report,,, that in the middle of his fishing... a dude woke up on the dock, and proceeded to drain himself into the lake via the dock. Between goose poop, human stuff, fertalizer run off, etc. All of these urban lakes are kind of a mess, but I don't think you will die from a planter trout living in the lake since the Spring plant.
