Arrived at Brown's around 1pm hoping to catch on dry flys, but like all summer long it was very slow on the surface. I hooked a couple on a black knat, but very slow until I put on a black wooly bugger with a bead head on the end of my floating line with about 5 feet of leader. Just enough to get it a few feet below the surface. I must have hooked 8 fish within an hours time. A couple of them were 16-17 inches. Caught about 13 total for the 3-4 hours I was on the lake. Still my favorite place to fly fish on still water, but it sure has changed the last few years. Catching fish is not guaranteed there like it used to be.
