It was hard to pick a rating today. Two of us were on the lake before sun up, and left a little after 2:00. My friend caught only 2 or 3 small bows, 8" or so. I caught probably two dozen or more of those little bows and a half dozen of the little browns about 12". I did get one bow about 3 pounds. We talked to one other boat that was trolling and they made similar comments (millions of tiny fish, only a couple of keepers).

So, overall, numbers were high but size was very small.

I know that the Browns should be spawning now (not the creek and they won't be viable) but they should take lures if you find them. We did not, and we know the lake really well.

We also talked to the shore fisherman at the launch and few fish were being caught. Perhaps it was because of the diving grebes, or perhaps the schools were not in, but ........

Broken clouds, low winds, surface temperature of 50.5 degrees. Weather was just too good for a great day of fishing. LOL
