My son-in-law, Mike and my neighbor Donn were nice enough to forego other activities to assist me in getting seven of our grandchildren out fishing on "Black Friday" at our local pond, Roses Lake. The folks at the Chelan Falls Hatchery have already made the fall stocking. The weather was in the forties with no wind and a light drizzle. The fish were incredibly cooperative! We pulled mostly cone head muddlers about 20 feet deep at 1.7 mph to generate on average a bite every couple of minutes. This was one of those days that most anything would work. The kids had a ball! Most fish were a very chunky 12 to 14 inches with the odd holdover to 16 inches. It was a very memorable morning on the water.
