Chris Branch fished with me above the Narrows on a beautiful Saturday morning. We worked a Cha Cha Squidder and an Ace Hi Fly close to the bottom in depths of 200 to 300 feet at speeds around 1.5 mph. We had a number of short strikes, some fish pulled off, but Chris got plenty of fish to fill his smoker, including one nice 12.5 pounder. The cloud cover thinned throughout the morning until it was mostly sunny with temperatures approaching fifty. It was an ideal morning with plenty of action, nice late fall weather and a great guy to share the boat with.
