As you know, this lake is a complex and challenging fishery, especially as we move deeper into winter. I had some time to go at it again today and got one about 16" also in 25' of water. I released that one. It took a rainbow apex, but I couldn't buy another bite all day even though I switched through 4 different lures. I even had one fin the surface right in front of my bow then raise it's head out of the water and look at me before it took off. It seems they are concentrated near the drop-offs, steeper the better, and in very shallow water. If they won't bite then there's not much to do about it. Still fun to get out there and track them.
