Went out to play with new fish finder and downrigger, bugs everywhere. Marked fish at 25 to 35 feet, had a couple of hits on a needlefish, switched to a green wedding ring, with piece of nightcrawler and trolled a hotshot on the other pole as in the bug area saw fish surfacing for the bugs. Got one Cut on the wedding ring about 16" and one 10" RAINBOW on the Hotshot, caught both near the weather buoy. Hate to admit it but I think I had the tension on the downrigger clip to tight and was pulling the Cut around for a while, found out had a fish on when I tripped the DR to check my gear, oh well trying to learn.
