It was harder than usual to get out of bed this morning, and go out in the cold and the dark. But I wanted to get out early so I could be home in plenty of time for the Seahawks game. The weather was cold and windy, and I was facing right into the wind, so I was questioning the wisdom of fishing at all. But I was rewarded with a beautiful rainbow trout. The bite started about an hour after sunrise during a lull in the wind, and I had two hits and misses before finally catching this one. I was fishing from the boat rentals dock using powerbait. After that my fishing lust was sated, and I headed home early with some donuts for the family. I think I'll turn that trout into nuggets and fry them up for a gametime snack.
