It's been a while since I have been able to post a fishing report due to lingering health issues. I have a quarter sized hole in my left heel that has refused to heal but i remain optimistic about it getting better in 2013. I 've partnered up with Joe Smchidt Aka: fishinChristian to you walakers and we have been busy designing and creating a number of new fishing jigs for crappie, bass trout panfish and walleye. My trip today was a spur of the moment jaunt out to Granger pond to toss a couple protoype jigs around like my 2.5' Dragun-Mite Tripoid Trout killer jig. The Dragun mite didn't dissapoint. A fiesty rainbow about 13" hit it on the second cast on the drop! A little later I put a glow 1" Flaptail Crappie Nymph (For ice fishing) on my Loomis slip boober set up and proceeded to haul in a couple of very fat pregnant yellow perch , a bluegill and 3 crappie to about 8". While not a banner day, it did a lot to ward off the cabin fever blues. I am estatic to report that Crappie World Magazine, Winter Edition 2013, has featured my article - The Jigmiester, in a 6 page spread featuring my custom made jigs, fish photos and crappie catching tactics. I also recently sent blufin loui some of my Rufus Woods Triploid special jigs and I am eager to hear his latest field test reports! Barring my medical issues, I plan to attend the upcoming Sportsman shows in Yakima and Spokane by securing a booth where I can share my baits with my fellow fishers here on walakes> Guys can try my custom lures with a rod and reel first hand in demonstraton tanks. Thanks again brothers, 2013 looks to be a break out year for the Jigmiester!
