1/17/2013 12:44:00 PMThose "fish" you are seeing on the bottom in 80' - 110' of water are probably not fish. Currents and water temperature differences show up as large arches on the sonar. This time of year on Samammish you should have good success surface trolling.

1/17/2013 2:41:00 PMStacked bead spinners work very well in Sammamish, tipped with worm, shrimp, gulp maggots, etc. Pull them faster than you normally would, like close to 2.0 mph. As for depth, anywhere from just under the surface to 15" should suffice. Just go easy on them, they will mostly be searun fish this time of year, looking to spawn in Issaquah Creek.

1/17/2013 9:09:00 PMSpinners w/ worms behind a dodger have caught all my fish on samammish. Have caught them trolling fast and slow and have not caught them doing both as well. Sometimes the bite is just off it seems, keep at it and change it up if no action for awhile. Lots of strikes came when changing speed or the beginning of a turn. Normally don't fish deeper than ~30ft. It was my 1st season so not an expert my any means but that set up seemed to work most of the time.
