Decided to finally ice fish Fourth of July. We set up where everyone else was in about 5 feet of water and worked the first eastern point I saw, I drilled holes clear across the lake to check depth. We were going to go out to Spraque but I waned to check ice at Fourth of July and saw about 6 cars or so in the parking lot so we went ahead and fish fourth of july instead.

Ice was good 6 inches of good stuff 1-2" of snow ice on top. The warm spell this week might lose some ice. Just a heads up that it might be gone quick even though there was a lot of it it cut really easily so I'm thinking the warm weather won't help it.

We didn't have the bathymetric map of the lake because I didn't think I was going to fish it so we stayed in the shallow water I think that was my down fall I bet the deeper water will hold more fish, I might take a trip out there again sometime this week.

We used spikes on jigs, half of night crawlers, glo-jigs at dark with spikes, wax worms and meal worms. I tried finesse plastics and glo-jigs, powerbait...basically I threw the box at them and got nothing...Saw some others catch a few with down rods but once every 2 hours or so when they moved into the area in waves. Below are the spots we fished in google coordinates. Next trip i'll try to find the deeper water.
