Went to I-82 Pond #6 in an attempt to hit the pre-spawn crappie and perch. Marked a lot of fish, particularly on the south side of the island and on the east side of the lake. The fish were mostly in 30-35 feet of water, sometimes suspended tightly, other times suspended at various elevations.
But could not get a bite. Tried baited Swedish pimples, ice fishing jigs tipped with worms, straight worms, but nothing worked. Tried various actions (slow, energetic) at various heights above the bottom. Nothing broke the fish lockjaw.
Weather was brilliant - low 60s, little wind, Mt. Adams clear as day. Great fishing day, bad catching day.
There were tons of people there - everyone was shore fishing for Alpo McTrout (and many were successful).
Guess I'll have to wait for the water to warm up more.
