Well, we arrived about 11:30. We got out in the water and fishing by 12:30. And what a day it was! We couldn't keep the fish off our lines. We had the best luck using Chartreuse Power Bait. We used the following setup: Small hook with a good almond size chunk of power bait. 1 split shot about 2 feet up. Bobber about 7 feet up. Makes for a interesting cast, but we nailed them. This is how I fished trout in Alaska all my life and I'm glad to see it works down here. I noticed a lot of people not catching anything that day but we probably had 15-20 bites and caught about 10. For some reason every trout we caught was about 11 inches exactly. Even caught one brown trout. We basically fished directly across the lake from the resort, just a little south of that cabin that's out in the water. We were probably 100 yards from the shore. I'd guesstimate the depth at at least 25', but it doesn't really matter because with our setup the powerbait was always 4 feet from the surface. Any questions, feel free to email me! tcurry@attbi.com
