Well it was bound to happen one of these days, SKUNKED! Got a little bit of a late start due to saturday nights activitys. At the launch we talked to a guy that was leaving and he hadnt even had a hit. Having heard this before and caught fish i ignored it. for the next six hours i tried every speed in between .8mph to 2 mph. Baits ranging from Corn in every scent, gulp maggots and even crappie nibbles. Pinks, oranges, blues, greens, reds, yellows. i didnt leave one thing in my tackle box alone and i didnt even get a take down. Trolled all over the lake with two rods in the downriggers chasing sonar marks and one topline rod. finally gave up and pulled some stick baits around for trout or whatever else would hit them and nothing. Talked to one other guy and he had 2 kokes.

Marked fish from 10' all the way down to 80' . Seen fish getting air borne and my buddy was throwing jigs to them and didnt so much as get a bump. Bite switch was in the OFF position i think. Maybe has something to do with the wierd weather we are having. lake is still super cold. I think some warm weather would do us kokanee guys some good!

Tomorrow I am gonna to get that horrible skunk smell of my boat. i hope. The fish are there its just finding out whats on the menu
