Gave it try for Macks. No love. This was my first time. Lauched out of Manson just after day break. Chatted briefly with one of the 2 guides putting in there. We fished 120-180 Ft. tight to the bottom. We tried flatfish & various colors of squid with smile blades & scent. Didn't see anybody boat a fish. There were 7 or 8 other boats out there (3-guide boats). That being said, we are talking about big water and long distances. Boats would congregate in one area or another and then disperse. We did mark many fish. I think it was a tough day on everybody. We'll go back for more education!!

AFK Joe Heilen is the best guide on Lake Chelan he launches out of Chelan (i have fished with other Chelan Guides Joe is the Best), my recommendation is book a trip with Joe, thru Lake Chelan Adventures. he will give you a great education on the Macks. And you will catch fish. I still book trips with Joe every year.

Hey Droopy, I agree, Money spent on Joe would be worth it. I don't have a boat set up for this fishery. But, a good buddy does and I was invited along. I'm sure I'll get electric down riggers eventually. That will be after my 14 year old gets through college!! And I'm hoping the 2 that I have there now will be done by then.LOL
