With the new boat, I thought it was time to hit spanaway finally. Unfortunatley, I couldn't catch a bass. I tried the d-shot tubes, grubs, swim baits, deep, shallow, hopping, and dragging. I had one smallie follow follow to the boat it was about 4 lbs. That was it for bass. When I was ripping a lipless crank I had a brown follow it up to boat. Then a few cast later one hit. He jumped a couple tme before getting to the boat. That was my first brown. So that was a bonus. It hit on bottom in 20 ft of water. I was targeting bass, that is why I rated it a one. I released it.
Water temp was about 47. I didn't see any one on lake in boats. The lake is pretty nice though. I think I might buy a year pass.

There are some big bass in that lake, both large and smallmouth. The only problem I found is during the summer months it fishes kind of small. Only a few areas produce consistently.
