Arrived at Mineral about 5am.Fished off dock at Mineral lake resort. It was a warm morning, had the dock all to myself until about 6;30am.Tried orange powerbait to start off. No bites for about 45 minutes. Took in one 13inch rainbow, followed by another about 1 hour later. It was kind of slow. Caught one small perch also. By 10am the dock was full of others out for that big one. But no one else was doing to good also. Out on the lake, I have never seen so many boats on Mineral. I stopped counting at about 50.. When I left about 11:30am I talked to a guy cleaning his catch at the cleaning table on the dock. Said he and his fishing party limited out at the far end of the lake still fishing. They ran about 13 to 14 inches.Even on a slow day, Mineral is a beautiful lake, at the far end is a breathtaking view of Mt.Rainier, too bad you can't seen it from the dock.
