So after the skunk on the Columbia yesterday, I really wanted to just catch a fish of any kind! A friend of mine who works at one of my accounts really wanted to get out on the boat today so decided to try Meridian for a shot at some of the planters and maybe a koke!

Put in at 1:30 and there was only 1 trailer spot left at the launch so I figured things could be good out there! After a half an hour there were only about 4 boats left and realized why as it was pretty slow. Had one rod on the downrigger with an apex and another with 1 1/4oz weight and the orange thing lure by Toni. Since they had planted I put out one line with just a small weight and a fire tiger needlefish. Finally the rod with the needlefish went down and fish on! wasn't that big but what the heck, it was a fish!! haha

Ended up landing 3 and lost a few drive bys but all the fish were caught on the needlefish go figure! tomorrow if I can off work early it's Lake WA for some cutts!
