Very nice day on Blackman's Lake today. Started out mid-morning and there were already quite a few boats out but not many people on the docks/shore. Later in the day that seemed to switch over as boats unloaded and the docks filled up. I tried trolling, fishing bait off the bottom and casting spoons and spinners around near shore. Casting spoons and spinners worked best for me and hooked into several feisty rainbows. Most of them were smaller, but fun to play with one notable exception. Boated one nice triploid rainbow that was about 20" inches. Didn't weight it but estimate it at about 3.5 pounds. Oh and someone else had hooked him before. When I cleaned him I found a broken off leader and egg hook in his mouth. Got most my bites along the north side of the lake. Saw others catching fish in other areas of the lake, but the north side was the only spot working for me. Nice to be out on the lake on a sunny t-shirt day.
