A great day for fishing!!!!!Lot's of sun warm temps... Threw out a few nightcrawlers with a bobber to compete with the weeds.... Nothing, no bites, bobber didn't even move with current... I noticed a lot of fish surfacing and jumping near where i was. Well, i finally said forget it, and threw a 2oz weight with a nice chunk of power bait to get to where they were. i knew i would be fighting the weeds but as i started to reel in i noticed some surface action behind the glob of grass i was pullin in.. Theni felt the head shake!!!! Sure as S*** there i had one on...... I belive with the heavy weight i used to get out there must have set the hook itself. None the less i landed the fish!! A nice 15" rainbow. While it was easter, i had to hit the house for dinner. When i returned to the lake later the fish were jumping and rolling like crazy... I had never seen trout as active as they were. And it only seemed to be in one area. Had a couple more on the prowl but failed to set the hook.. Sawyer is definatly on my radar this year....
