Tesla and I fished Lake Washington today. We trolled on the UW side of 520 near the bridge. Marked a ton of bait and a ton of fish. I landed one 15" cutthroat in 15 feet of water on a Brad's Cutplug (Wonderbread color). Had one other take down near the bridge but no fish. Tesla and I worked it until 3pm and he ended up hooking a nice cutty on an Apex Rainbow pattern.

I kept my fish to give to my neighbor. I filleted the fish when I got home and it's stomach was full of small stickleback. My stomach turned seeing 5 good sized tape worms- all alive- in it's stomach. Anyone experienced this? I can't blame the fish for having a full belly as it was feeding 6!

eeeeeew!! Hey thanks for the report (and ruining my dinner) ha ha. Wow I have heard a lot recently about this becoming more and more a common find but have personally never encountered it. I'll have my fish deep fried until it looks like a burnt Cheeto from now on thanks

I have not fish for Trout in Lake Washington in a long time but back as far as 20 years ago i would find thier bellies full of worms. I quit eating em just because they were so gross. They wont hurt you, just nasty.

Sound like Rad might catch the Cutties for the bonus belly bounty! Any chance the Rad you know, live in California? I happen to know a Rad, and a TeeLee from there. Rare name, I would think.

These don't look like tapeworms. Tapeworms are more secular... Almost like little building blocks. I'm pretty sure they're just earthworms that look pale and dead from being, well... Dead! None the less, GROSS! It makes me not want to eat sushi!!!

Flash Freezing the fish will make any fish safe to eat as cooking does not ALWAYS kill all the parasites.
