Disclaimer: Evergreen was the main area, but not the full story.
So, Jiggy & I did a redo of my last Grant Co. expedition, on a slightly smaller scale. 6 bodies of water, one of which was pretty much unfishable. The 1rst half of the day we were smelling skunk, until I caught a mighty sculpin, which Jiggy (the nerve of him) tossed back. Anyway, we got into the Evergreen chain and caught a bunch (2 dozen?) of small (really small) bluegill on the first lake. Looked Evergreen over, and decided it was a bit too transitional, so continued the tour (South Gate is still locked). Anyway, we ended up on one of the smaller lakes at about 4:30, and all heaven shook loose. Fish almost as fast as you could cast out, all using Jiggy nymph lures, and worms. At one point I had two good bass on at one time (2 rods), and Jiggy broke off a beauty with light line and lots of cover. The 2 largest bass were 17" with 4 more between 14 and 16". Total fish caught, mostly small, totaled over 200. A far better meaning to the phrase "Fast and Furious." Lotsa fun!
