My son and I liked this lake last week so we tried it again and the results were even better than last week (that's because I caught more fish than my son this time). I caught three fish that I thought were all silvers but on closer inspection there was one cutthroat, one lake trout and one silver, plus I caught that baby largemouth (5-6 inch) again and sent him back to grow some more. Again the rooster tail was the only lure that they would hit for me. My some caught three silvers two on rooster tails and one on a silver spoon, which broke the rootertail trend. In the five hours we fished we threw everything we had at them, power bait, salmon eggs, yellow corn, wedding rings, rappin rattlers, balsa minnows, plastic worms, plastic grubs, plastic shad, silver spoons, rootertails even home made flavored marshmallows. We top fished with bobbers, bottom fished and cranked a bunch of lures but we kept going back to the rooster tails and catching these small to medium sized fish. Good fighters, lots of fun, a beautiful lake and a great sunny Washington day.
