Fished ballinger with my dad,fished for two hours with nothing lake was dead today not even a nibble,thinking of calling it quit then realize that my dad barely go out to fish so decided to take him to lake wa. at loog boom park for some perch or gill,when we arive there is two kids fishing for bass, we set up all the way to the end of the dock with no luck im started to feel bad for dad but he understand what fishing is all about ( time together father and son ) so we decided to head home but on our way out dad not ready to give up yet so he retie his gear with just hook and a worm then reeled in realy slowwww then BAM!! Fish on its a salmon small ones we didntxpect to catch on in a shallow water he caught it just by the entrance of the dock where bass anglers always gather.....took a photo then back it went....10 min. later i got one too this once bigger maybe 20 to 25 inches i wasnt able to land it wish i got a net with me when i tried to lift it over the wooden fence it went for a shake and splash to the water it goes...my teeth was grinding but hey what can i do. Fished for hour more and nothing..finally called it a day..nice experience and memories with dad.....all we can talked bout is the one that got away on our drive home untill we got home.
