Finally got the boat out of the driveway after putting new tires on the trailer 3 weeks ago. Started down highway 2 and noticed the trailer looked like it was pretty low on one side and I could hear a loud grinding noise. Just as I start to piece together what is going on the car next to me honk at me and yells at me to pull over. Luckily I was right before the Bickford exit to I was able to get off the highway and find a somewhat safe spot to change the tire which was destroyed after less than 5 miles of driving. Thanks again to the couple who yelled at me and were kind enough to stop and offer to help.

So after finally getting to the lake a little later than I was hoping for, I was finally ready to fish. Ran one rod with lead core line and a sling blade and koke a nut out 1 color. Flat lined the other rod with various combinations with no luck. In 2 hours of trolling managed 1 kokanee at 12.75 inches and 1 cutthroat at 11.5 inches, both on the koke a nut, before the hail started coming down. The dog was shivering so I decided to pack it up and head back to the boat launch. While driving through the no wake zone I saw lots of jumpers so I decided to tie on a chrome kastmaster and toss it out a couple of times before I made it to the boat launch. Hooked into a beauty of a rainbow on the 1st cast. It must have been a good 3.5 lbs and about 18-20 inches long. Fought it all the way to the boat before realizing I had already stashed the net into its little cubby so it doesn't fly out on the drive home. Took me too long to get it out and the fish jumped twice and got away. Bummer! By then the hail had stopped and the sun came out, so I fished around for another hour or so trying various combos with no more bites.

Slow day of fishing, I'm sure the 5 different kinds of weather I experienced just during my time on the water affected the bite, but all in all not bad. Any time I get to bring something home to eat I'm happy. There needs to be an option for "all of the above" when selecting the weather for this report :P
