Fished with my buddy Glenn out of his boat after launching out of 9 mile. Glad they opened early this year because launching upriver can be dangerous this time of year. Headed to a couple of our favorite spots and proceeded to catch 23 crappies and 20 perch. The crappie averaged 9-11 in and the perch 8-10. We kept 20 crappie and 4 perch. The male perch were like teenage boys on a hot date, we had to hold them over the side of the boat to keep from getting covered in their milt. The fish were holding in 35-50 ft of water and all were caught on a drop shot with tubes and grubs. They were holding on the channel edge just like back in December.

The water temp near 9 mile was 43 deg and down near sunset bay it was 45 deg. If we could get a couple days with warmer temps and without the hurricane force winds the water might warm up a bit.
