What a beautiful day! Couldn't help myself so had to get home and get the boat and head to American again as we don't get too many days like this~ Launched about 1pm and headed across towards the VA hospital and had a vicious take on a green dodger with green ice and gulp worm and got my 1st fat and scrappy bow in the boat.

Worked my way along the shoreline towards the condo's and then turned to Bill's and had a few more takes and some long line releases. Had some work to do so went with 1 rod and made circles over by Lake City so I could get some orders in on my laptop and finally work was done made a stop at Bill's boathouse to meet Mike@Bill's. Great guy with lots of good info for any of you that want to know how to fish this lake and he has some really cool lure's tied up which I had to try.

So after my break I headed back over towards the marina and put on a P-line pink dodger with Mike's mini squid with pink maggots and BAM! fish on! 4 fish and 1 for my limit I started to head back over to the VA when I get my last keeper and after I took the picture noticed it had an orange tag on it!! What the heck? So I called Mike and he informed me I had won a million dollars or at least a new boat! haha Actually he said Cabela's last year had put some tagged fish in for some kind of contest and this was probably a holdover. Oh well, I guess if they do it again this year I am signing up!!
