I launched at the North End of the lake.....I fished both Tues(23) and Wed. (24th).....Water Temp was 52 and went to 54 on Wed.....It was awesome weather both days....Fished the Rock pile with a suspending Jerk bait and had no luck...I swear I've fished that Rock pile usually in the morning and have NEVER had any luck.....but I bet if you fished it in the evening you'd slay the fish....continued south along the East bank to about the little park mid-lake and the boat was in 30ft. of water casting to 10ft. of water.....only time I went closer to the bank was to fish down trees....Picked up a couple to 2lb fish and if the water temp doesn't drop i'm sure it will only get better....Ditto for Wednesday......the rest of my time was spent chasing buggers in the boat and all the fun things that go along with the first trip of the year.....BTW except for the rock pile I fished with a Carolina rigged worm....One other tips for you folks fishing with Electronics.....When you take them off their mounting brackets, take them directly to the place where you store them and stow them......I left mine sitting on the rear deck carpet and drove home (Like I stole the boat and truck)......fortunately one stayed on the rear deck and the other slid into the splash well.....damn near has a heart attack when I parked the boat.....I swear the older I get the dumber I get...
