Fishing solo, I launched my small boat onto Horseshoe Lake. The weather was cold. overcast and a little windy. No other boats or anglers were there. I fished a couple hours without a single hit or even seeing a bass. The lily pads were just starting to show. There were lots of spawning nest but suspect bluegill. The old adage about "The worst day of fishing is better than the best day of work" is a close call on this trip. I had forgotten my camera so I was sure I was going to catch some kind of huge fish and have no proof but that didn't happen. I'll add an older photo of a nice Horseshoe bass caught on May 1st 2009.
