I got a voicemail from my 6 year old nephew, Micah, that said, "Uncle Tom, will you take me fishing...bye." So I packed up my three year old daughter, my 6 year old nephew and his 5 year old brother (also my nephew) and headed up to Rattlesnake lake for a quick fishing trip. We got there about 6pm and the parking lot was packed, but not many fishermen on the lake. We found a nice shady spot and started fishing. The sun went down behind the ledge and Micah said, "I think I got one!" He did indeed! It was a really nice trout about 18 inches or so. It was almost as long as his arm. I was able to ask someone walking by to take a quick picture before Micah released him. After that we fished a little while longer before calling it a day. The rest of the ride home Micah kept saying "Wow that was a big fish!" I kept saying, "I know. I'm so proud of you."

Great day fishing...can't wait to take these kids again!
