Had a good time last night out on Fazon. Lots of activity. Half a dozen boats in the lake when we got there and even a couple kids fishing from the boat launch. Started out slow along the lily pads along the southern shore but my buddy pulled one out after a little while. The sun was getting intense so we headed to the western shore for some shade. Fished the northwest corner of the lake and seemed to do ok. As it got cooler outside, they became more active, and I managed to pull three more bluegill and one nice sized perch out of the water, with my buddy getting one or two more bluegill. It was our trial run for his 9' Pond Prowler, which is an excellent choice for that lake if there's just two of you fishing. We were on the lower side of the success rate on the lake, but a time constraint kepts us from fishing through the evening bite. There were a few other boats out there with a few loaded stringers. One boat pulled in a smaller channel cat, and the kids at the boat launch caught a 12" trout on a catfish line. Never ceases to amaze me.
