I've done poorly my last two fishing trips, so after work Monday I decided I need to feel a pull at the other end of the line. I headed down to Carlisle Lake to catch and release some stocked trout. If you've been there before you know the parkinglot is like the surface of the moon-- potholes-wise anyway. But not anymore! Last month they paved it, and it is awesome.

I fished from 6-8 pm. I was using an off-brand rooster tail, dark blue colored. At first I was just getting these really small fingerlings that would hit right near shore. Even with a single-point barbless hook I know the survival rate can't be good when you release them. After accidentally hooking three or four of them I started pulling in really fast about 10 feet from the bank. Ended up catching and releasing four 9-10 inch stocker trout. Lost two or three as well, they really came alive from 7:30-8:00.
