Had a grandson to take out fishing today, and a granddaughter to introduce to fishing. I am told that I have created demons. LOL Of course, I could not go out without my son, their dad.

Keep in mind that they are only 4 and 6 years old, and that they were using the super short "Barbie" style push button rods, so I did not expect much, boy was I wrong.

We just trolled around the deeper water with the electric, using small flatfish (F3 to F5) in various colors and we hooked up about every 5 minutes or less. Many times both kids had a fish on.

The fish were not very big, may 10 to 12 inches max, but those little bows jumped from the water a lot, made nice little runs, and gave those little toy rods a run for their money.

The kids caught their limits, kept them, want to eat them at home tonight. LOL I would have attached photos, but all I took was video. So, if you want to introduce some kids to fishing, Downs is a great place right now.
