Launched at 7pm out of the north cove, puttered out to the 80' mark.
Now begins a tale of the most exciting 5 mintues of week. I get my one pole all set up, and send it down to 30 feet. Get my other pole clipped in the downrigger and blam! first rod goes off, slide the net under a FAT kokanee. Send the second rod down to 20 feet so i can gain my bearing again and KASLAM! Second fish is now bleeding in the boat of the boat. send the first rod back down and it decides its gonna go off before i can even drop the down rigger. 3 fish withing 5 minutes. After a short breather I got the rods back in the water and was quickly graced by the presence of my fourth kokanee for the evening. Had to more solid hits but nothing stuck.
First rod was using a Arrow dodger and a Kokaneekid Fishing spinner
Second rod was a Double D and a Kokaneekid Fishing Bug
Tipped with shoepeg and DNA scent.
Trolling speed was varied due to the 12 mph winds.
Have to take today off due to it being my birthday and the wife has plans but i will be on it again tomorrow morning bright and early to try out the morning bite
