Late report but here it is just the same, trolling for lake trout on the Chelan side of Wapato Point around 10am, perfect day. Rod bend straight down, figured I had snagged a tree on the bottom until I pulled it out of the holder then the fish started pulling line off the reel, did this several times! I've never had a Chelan lake trout fight like this one, since I was by myself I figured the only way to land this fish was to wear it out, after several more runs to the bottom I managed to get it into the net-just barely fit into my too small net. Weighed in at 20lbs, broke the previous personal record by far, the best lake trout I've ever caught at Chelan. Trolled 5 ft off the bottom with U20 Luminous Chartruese-it always seems to catch fish.
