Was on the lake from 12:00 to 4:30. Mostly targeted bass. I only found one spot where a male would come out and peck at a brown/chartreuse grub. I would give him a break and come back but could not get a solid bite. I think they are starting to move up to make beds and getting territorial.. I just can't find one to commit. Water temp was down a few degrees too.
I did catch a few trout and took the biggest two home to fry up. My son told me I better not eat them all this time LOL
I have also been noticing that almost every time I'm out I see a school of fish hugging the bottom in 20-30 feet of water. I tried to target them with just a worm but not really sure how to go about it. I figure if I stop the boat as soon as I see the school I must be close. But if your over 30ft or water can't the target be off to the side quite a bit too?
Any thoughts?
