Fished Bryant today with my friend ilvlakecassidy from this site, in kayaks. At first I was pounding structure just off shore with a weightless hook and worm. All I caught were small pumpkinseed. I noticed my friend started catching crappies in a bit deeper water so I paddled out and watched his technique, he was using a small float and 1/16 Oz jig, and twitching it very light but quickly, do I pulled up to the deep side of the lily pads casted my weightless worm, let it sink and slowly twitch it in. Bam fish on, 8"crappie, first of the season. Then we headed back towards where we launched and pulled up on them pads it was on fire. I caught 4, he caught 4 or 5 in a matter of 10 minutes in this spot, bites one after the other, all 7 to 10". Then I noticed a fish surface 30 ft out towards the middle so I paddled up casted bam fish on 11" rainbow trout, not a cutt, I checked. I think bucket biologist put it there, as i know the lake is usually inhabitted by cuttsAll in all a good day, 8 pumpkinseed, 5 crappies, and 1 rainbow.
