Took the wife out fishing for a date night on the water. Haven't done that in a couple years since are kids are so little. Thanks to Grandma for watching them all! We had a good time on the water it was just the fish who didn't cooperate!! LOL

Tried shallow with black spinner baits and senkos of many different colors--Nothing.

Tried 6-10 feet of water on weed edges where I almost always get some good ones but still not a bite. Threw spinners, lipless cranks and even tried some tubes and worms. It was crazy!

Finally at the end as the sun was going down we each caught one small LMB less than 10 inches on Spinnerbaits in some small coves.

All in all it was a good evening we saw two bald eagles fighting, a wonderful sunset and had a great time together.

FYI It seemed to me like the lake level was down a couple feet, weeds were unusually high for this time of year and there were quite a few "sand bars" that were visible be careful as you boat around.
