Got to the lake right after daylight and got to fish out of my nieghbors new 19ft smokercraft! It was nice to be able to stretch out a bit and move around.
We had almost non stop action from 530-630. Poles didnt spend more then 5 minutes in the water at a time with alot of fish hitting during a speed change or a turn. So we started doing s-curves and start hammering them out! Pink and Green/orange colorado spinners were the ticket first thing in the morning. fished behind dick nite dodgers and tipped with corn. depths were 15-35ft with the bigger fish coming off the deeper rod. I had two kokanee rookies in the boat , One wasnt doing half bad and got six to the boat out of 13. Our buddy went 1-9! I got to reel in 4 fish but the day was really about getting someone hooked into fishing that has been going thru a ruff batch in their life. After about 8am the bite shut off and we stratched out a few more fish on a green/red wedding ring.
Ended the day with 15 Kokes and one happy koke addict! Sent our buddy home with a few fish and we were back home drinking coffee by 930
Hit one fish that was 1.72 on the scale! smallest was 12" biggest was 16.5
