Tried to check out Silver Lake in Everett for the first time, but arrived to find hydroplane racing going on, so headed out to Bosworth with the kayak for a more serene experience. Tried a variety of spoons and spinners without any luck, then switched to Powerbait for a bit of confidence. First line in with the bait and before I could grab my paddle, I got a bite. Just as I tried to set it, he jumped a couple feet out of the water and spit the hook. Trolled around for a while and had a few more bites but couldn't land anything (those rainbows enjoyed a nice meal of Powerbait this day). The wind picked up and the temp dropped so I brought in the line and paddled around a bit before calling it. I like this quiet little lake and had success there recently, but today it wasn't meant to be. The few other anglers I spoke to had mixed reviews - some struck out and some got their limits. No fish in the cooler, but a beautiful day to be on the lake.
